They advised us well

June 24, 2025
We called them and said that it could be a minor stroke so they called for an ambulance but they were going to take too long so we went in ourselves. They did advise us well.

They're useless

June 18, 2025
They told me to wait for a call back within 6 hours. I called them back and then they said 24 hours. They were useless and don't give any information on how to help you. You have to just fend for yourself.

I had a really bad headache and they told me to take painkillers and they would call back in a few hours. I waited longer than that so I had forgotten about it.

Don't like calling them

I don't like calling them as they think I'm a repeat caller but with heart problems you can never be too careful.

NHS 111

NHS 111 is much more than a helpline – if you're worried about an urgent medical concern, you can call 111 to speak to a fully trained adviser. Depending on the situation, the NHS 111 team can connect you to a nurse, emergency dentist or even a GP, and can arrange face-to-face appointments if they think you need one. NHS 111 advisers can also assess if you need an ambulance and send one immediately if necessary.
